Who this covers
This policy covers smalltelligence.com (this website). smallTelligence is a small business based in San Diego, California. If you are a customer whose accounts we operate under a service agreement, that separate agreement — not this website policy — governs how we handle your business data.
What we collect on this website
We keep this narrow. When you use smalltelligence.com, we collect only:
- What you type into a form. The ask-to-join form asks for a name, email or mobile, and whatever you write about your business. We receive only what you submit.
- Your email if you email us. If you send a message to info@smalltelligence.com, we receive your message and your email address the same way any inbox works.
- Your phone number if you call or text. Our published number is a Google Voice line at +1 619-837-3882. Calls and texts to that number arrive with your phone number attached, and text messages are transcribed for us to read.
- Standard server logs. Our host, Netlify, keeps short-lived request logs that include IP addresses and page paths for security and abuse prevention. We do not use these for marketing or analytics.
We do not use cookies, analytics, ad pixels, session replay, or tracking scripts on this website. If that changes we will update this page first.
What we use it for
We use what you send us to answer you and to set up your service. That is the entire purpose. Specifically:
- Form submissions and emails are used to reply to your ask-to-join request and, if you sign up, to configure the service on your accounts.
- Your phone number is used to reach you about your inquiry or your setup. If you check the SMS-consent box on a form, we may text you about it too. See our SMS Terms for what those messages look like and how to stop them.
- We do not sell your data. We do not share it with advertisers. We do not use it to train AI models.
Who touches this data
To run the site and reply to you, a small number of third parties can see the data you send us. In each case they hold it under their own privacy policies:
- Netlify hosts this website and receives form submissions before forwarding them to us. See Netlify's privacy policy.
- Google hosts our email (Google Workspace), our calendar (Google Calendar), and our phone line (Google Voice). Anything you email or text us is stored in the corresponding Google service. See Google's privacy policy.
- Railway hosts the small internal application that reads our shared inbox on our behalf. It sees the contents of messages sent to info@smalltelligence.com so we can respond quickly. See Railway's privacy policy.
We do not send your data to any other parties.
How long we keep it
Form submissions and email correspondence are kept for as long as we might reasonably need them to answer follow-ups or to service an active customer relationship — typically two years from your last contact, and longer if you become a customer. You can ask us to delete your record sooner at any time.
Your choices
- Correct or delete. Email info@smalltelligence.com and tell us what you want changed or removed. We will do it and confirm back to you.
- See what we have. Same email; ask us for a copy of what we hold about you and we will send it.
- Stop SMS. Reply STOP to any text we send. See SMS Terms for details.
- Unsubscribe from email. Any non-transactional email we send has an unsubscribe link. Reply to a message asking us to stop and we will stop.
If you are in California, the EU, the UK, or another jurisdiction with specific privacy rights, those rights still apply — email us and we will honor them.
Children
This site is for small business owners. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. If we learn we have, we will delete it.
Security
The website is served over HTTPS. Form submissions travel encrypted to Netlify. Our shared inbox and calendar sit inside Google Workspace with account security enabled. We limit access to what a person needs to do the work.
Changes to this policy
If we change what we collect or how we use it, we will update this page and change the "Last updated" date at the top. Material changes will be announced by email to active customers.
